Since the JGP is committed to collaborative partnership, there is not a leadership team that decides how our partners must minister in their respective contexts. Rather, our host partners in the Middle East determine what their ministry goals and strategies are, and our task forces, under the leadership of a committee chairman, seek to facilitate those ministry goals and strategies.
In 2013, the JGP agreed to a new organizational structure in order strengthen ministry focus and collaboration between partner ministries. The following diagram represents this new organizational structure.
The Partnership Support Team is the leadership team that will seek to harness the collective efforts of all those involved in the JGP for the benefit of local partners’ vision and goals. Focusing on servant leadership rather than directing the activities of JGP partners, its purpose is to facilitate communication of the goals and vision of local partners and then to encourage the growth of relationships among partners with a view to collaboration in accomplishing the local goals and vision.
The white boxes are support ministries that function to serve the partnership in encouraging the processes that allow for growth of relationships and formation of functional groups. The tan boxes are our local partners and the focus of visions and goals around which partners will collaborate. The green boxes are the groupings of churches and individuals around functional areas of collaboration (task forces).
